Clement Merat

Clement is a Carbon Capture and Storage project leader in low carbon value chains in Equinor, focusing on development of CO2 transport infrastructure in North West Europe. Before joining the company in 2022, he has spent more than ten years in TotalEnergies where he has occupied various positions from conceptual study leader to management of R&D activities.

If his main expertise lies mainly around CO2 transport solutions, Clement has also built technical knowledge on various Low Carbon solutions including hydrogen, CO2 capture and offshore wind technologies.

Clement has an engineering degree from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA-France) and a Master of Science degree in fluid mechanics from the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology (KTH-Sweden).
