Technology, Innovation & Decarbonisation in the Energy Sectors

Our industry has responded to the lower oil price with positive actions to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Now, to extend the life of the UK North Sea and maximise economic recovery, we must transform the way we work.

Technology will help make this happen – and that’s why the Oil & Gas Technology Centre was set up in February 2017.

We will be the catalyst for transforming our industry through the introduction of innovative technologies. Our ambition is to become the go-to technology centre for the oil and gas industry in the UK and globally.

We’re a not-for-profit, research and knowledge company, backed by the UK and Scottish Governments. We inspire, accelerate and fund technology and innovation, working with the industry and academia to co-invest in industry-led projects that produce real results.

With £180 million to co-invest with our partners, we’re focused on unlocking the full potential of the UK North Sea, anchoring the supply chain in North-East Scotland, and making sure the region stays a great place to live, work and invest for generations.

Whether you’re an innovator, technology provider, operator, service company, academic institution, investor or consulting firm supporting the industry, we have the funding, knowledge and networks to help you achieve your technology goals.
