Youssef El-Sherif

I’m Youssef El-Sherif, ~13 years of Oil & Gas industry, 10 years of data management experience supporting Egypt & Middle East.

I’m certified scrum master and I’m currently leading data management activities in Wintershall DEA Egypt. I’ve gone through service providers like SLB (for 2.5 years), corporates like Shell (9 years) and I’m currently working as Data Management Lead in Wintershall DEA and Energy Transition focal point focusing on studying CCS potentiality in Egypt.

I’m coming from geoscience background and most of my volunteering activities were targeting geoscience community. My best achievement was an initiative called “Konna Zayak 2015-2019” (Means in English, we were at your shoe one day before) it facilitates bridging the gaps between universities level of academia and from the other side bridges the gap between academia (generally) and the industries market.

This initiative had covered all Egypt geoscience universities (25), supported senior undergraduate and junior graduates (+10 K people got benefit) and it’s still a good reference for a larger community.
