Position: VP Upstream Digital Transformation, Shell

Lee has been Shell’s VP Upstream Digital Transformation since Sept 2019 – a role reporting into the Upstream Director and one that aims to accelerate the impact of digital enablement in order to transform the way we work and deliver value in the Upstream.

He joined Shell in 2006 and has previously held roles in Qatar, The Netherlands and Norway in addition to working on growth opportunities in the USA, Australia and various locations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently he held the combined role of Country Chairman for Denmark/Greenland, and the Vice-President Upstream Denmark. These past roles provided experience across a range of Upstream Oil & Gas activities including project development/execution, commissioning, new business development and strategy for both onshore and offshore operations.

Lee holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Qatar University, a MBA from Harvard Business School and has also spent time at George Washington University. He is married with two sons and enjoys golf, football and hiking.
