Carly Vince

Position: Chief Planning Officer, EDF

Carly Vince is the Chief Planning Officer at EDF. She is a qualified town planner with more than 15 years’ experience in planning and development. She leads the Planning and Land teams responsible for securing the necessary planning and land powers for the Sizewell C nuclear power station project, with a particular focus on negotiations with key stakeholders. Carly continues to provide strategic oversight and advice on planning and land matters in connection with the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station that is currently under construction. Carly successfully led the team in securing planning permission and other consents for two gas fired power stations, and continues to provide advice and support to various renewables projects, most recently Longfield solar project that has recently been accepted into the pre-examination phase. Prior to joining EDF Energy she worked as a planning consultant on a number of high profile mixed-use developments across London, as well as a range of conventional planning matters.
