#FES2021

28 September 2021

28 September 2021

In order to achieve net zero by 2050 the global economy must shift to electricity as the power source for a far wider range of end-applications and be matched by an equally rapid decarbonisation of electricity supply.

Electrification will be the key to decarbonising many sectors of the economy, but the process must be smart, reliable and resilient and requires a decentralised power grid to deliver the benefits. This will include renewables integration, energy storage facilities, system expansions and the pressing need for digitalisation and developing a cyber inventory programme.

Future Energy Systems will analyse the barriers to adoption and investigate the challenges and opportunities from renewable growth, including harnessing and developing the power of digital technology.

Future Energy Systems attendees include representatives of utility companies; technology vendors; policy managers, investors, procurers, system integrators, oil & gas companies, government and municipal authorities.
